Here is some early morning #SCOOP for our Niner brethren.  GTG has learned that Napoleon Sykes will be joining the Niners staff in the near future.  Sykes played under Lambert 2003-05 at Wake Forest.  After his time at Wake was done, Sykes returned (2006) to his former high school stomping grounds at the Gilman School (MD) as an assistant.  The following year he joined Mallard Creek High’s staff here in Charlotte as a Co-Defensive coordinator, then spent the next two years as a Graduate Assistant at Wake.

Sykes will be leaving Navy’s football program to reunite with Lambert and company.  In Sykes first year at Navy, he was an assistant coach in the secondary and assisted with the outside linebacking core this year.

Sykes appears to be one of the first of quite a few coaching dominoes to fall in the near future.
