Elon - Gameday Predictions

It’s the Preseason NIT folks, it’s in Cameron Indoor, it’s the Former Fighting Christians, it’s the D1 debut of Turkish Wizard Sirin, it’s the Charlotte debut of Shamari “I’ll Have You For Lunch” Spears, it’s GAMEDAY!!!

Old Fighting Christian looked like something out of Where The Wild Things Are. Even old Norm wasnt this creepy.

Yes, there is a game today, and yes, we’re all looking past it. Except for Green Tinted Glasses, we know this is a trap game for us. The inevitable banana peel. Elon did shoot 59% from three against Lipscomb, and we may be better off putting up traffic cones if we defend the perimeter like we did against UNCA. But, it is Elon, and they don’t have an answer for the three-headed monster of Phil Jones, Chris Braswell, and Shamari Spears. What’s for dinner tonight? Double-Roasted Phoenix. Never had it? I hear it’s really good.

Predictions are below, and as always feel free to leave yours in the comment section. The closest one gets a pair of Carlos Williams’ basketball shorts , you can use them as curtains or something.

J FeltCharlotte 87, Elon 69. Bowden gets off the team bus and hits his first three from the parking lot to start the game off right and Phil Jones goes all Jarvis Lang on the Cameron rims.

letsgoNINERS11 - Charlotte 90, Elon 68. I see a blowout on this one.  Charlotte is the far superior squad on the offensive end of the floor and the transition D gets better after this week’s film study.  Shamari Spears for 28 pts/15 rebounds.  BRING ON DOOK!

NLP – The Fighting Christians fail worse than the 2nd Crusade.  Charlotte 85, Elon 59.

JRitchieCharlotte 92, Elon 55. Bobby Lutz forces the team to pass it to Shamari on every play. Elon figures the plan out but only with 4 mins left in the 2nd half.

BustCharlotte 93, Elon 68. Charlotte evens the all-time series with the mighty Elon Phoenix to 1-1.

HPCharlotte 83, Elon 70. Shamari Spears takes over the boards and gives the 49ers a big boost. Bowden continues to deliver as promised.

(It’s obvious we’re not taking this game for granted.)
